| I was wondering, anyone heard about this? I hear that someone in USA has unfortunatley died now to . It is over here in the UK to but it seems to be the less serious cases at the moment. By the way, I am trying to make as many topics as I can to try and encourage activity here. | |

| Swine is really just a bad flue. The normal flue can kill you as well if you get it bad enough. | |

I know, I think they did make to much of a big deal over it to start with. But I suppose there are quite a lot of people dying from / catching the flu.

| Here in the UK only three people have died. My cousin has it, I'm pretty sure he'll be okay though. | |

| Looks like it's going to affect a LOT of people, but it's not too deadly at the moment. They flu usually comes in waves, major epidemics have happened before where the strain mutates the second time round the world and becomes more potent. They'll probably have the vaccine by then, but I'd rather get it now than in the winter! I don't trust the vaccine makers Anonymously circulating a virus and then selling the vaccine/anti-virus for it seems like a dastardly but effective way of making money in the pharmaceutical business! | |

| Eek! Even in Wales? I thought we'd be protected It might just be normal flu or hayfever. I've heard of a few cases around here though. Not looking forward to going back to uni in September! A cluster of people from different places all gathering in one can't be good | |

| It probably is only flu ^_^ Nice pic by the way lol.
I hope it is only flu. We will be ok =p We're Welsh ;p.
Anyway, I expect the vaccine will be out by September. I hate the companies who sell these things! If it is a life/death situation then they should be at a reduced cost or free.

| September, in my opinion, is way, way too soon. Who wants a hastily thrown-together vaccine that hasn't been tested too thoroughly? More people die from the regular flu than will probably die from this...the media's blowing this way out of proportion. You know how viruses survive? By not killing their host. And it's the nature of anything to want to survive...so it's likely that this will only get weaker, to ensure that it lives longer.
Seriously. Don't worry. And I wouldn't get the vaccine. =P
